This page answers questions about booking sessions and what to expect in sessions.
1. How do I book a session? – You can book a session with David here, or Jonathan here.
2. When I book a session, what happens? – After booking, you’ll receive an email that lists the date, time, and Google Meet link.
3. How do I access Google Meet? – Google Meet is similar to Zoom, and can be downloaded as an app on your phone or tablet, or can be accessed on the web at meet.google.com.
4. How much is a session? – The price of a session depends on the nature of the session and any discounts we may be offering. Please check each booking page for the current price.
5. Is my purchase safe? – Yes. We use Stripe to process all payments, as do many major businesses. Stripe is secure, and allows you to pay with a credit card or debit card.
6. What should I do to prepare for a session? – Make sure that you have a quiet location for your session. It is helpful to have a relaxing environment, with a comfortable chair. You may want to use headphones, but if not, being able to clearly hear us is important. You can use a computer, tablet or phone. Ideally, you’ll have a working camera and microphone, but a microphone, including the one built into your device, is essential. If you are using your phone, having a way to secure it so you don’t have to hold it is desirable.
7. Besides technical details, do I need to do anything before we meet? – Come into the session with an open mind and ready to make some great changes.
8. What will happen in the introductory session? – During this session, we’ll get to know each other. You’ll get a chance to share what the problem is, describe how you got the problem, how you’ve dealt with it before. After that we will begin the change work. Typically the introductory session will consist of establishing quality goals and also experiencing some powerful hypnosis related to staying motivated to work on those goals.
9. Is this therapy? No, we are not therapists, nor do we treat mental illness. Therapy can be beneficial for many people, but what we do is very different and shouldn’t be confused with therapy. Many of our clients have not been satisfied with the cost and slow results of therapy, or have issues that are outside the scope of therapy, such as getting over fears, enhancing mindset, or performing better in social settings. If you have underlying mental health issues that might benefit from therapy, we may recommend a therapist in addition to our services.
10. Do you take insurance? What we do isn’t therapy or medical treatment, so we don’t take insurance.
